Home sweet home

I just arrived from my trip a day ago and I haven't been able to catch up on sleep.
I arrived @ Miami Airport from Spain after having taken 2 planes, and being on the air for 11 hours and up for 14 hours. I rushed through immigration, customs and security just to find out that my plane to Dallas was delayed 2 hours due to bad weather in the Dallas area. The good news was that because all planes arriving in Dallas were delayed, I wouldn't miss my connection to Austin.
While I was waiting for my plane to Dallas and eating a very bad and expensive salad I questioned my desire to travel. I was tired to the point of exhaustion. I was still on a different time schedule and my body was telling me to go to bed, the time in Europe being 2am. It took another hour before boarding and as soon as I was seated I fell asleep. I woke up just a few minutes before landing in Dallas and fortunately the plane to Austin was still there. I arrived at the airport in Austin at 1am and I was home by 2 in the morning. I made it to my bed around 4am.
I haven't been able to sleep much even that I'm very tired. This morning I woke up at 4:30 am and couldn't go back to sleep so I decided to upload my pictures and organize them. I had not been able to see the pictures on a full screen and once I did, all that questioning about traveling dissipated after seeing all the wonderful sites I visited while in Egypt and Spain. I will be posting more photos as soon as I can.

At the pyramids in Giza.

Patchwork and applique are so universal. This piece was 60" by 45" approx.
