I'm still in Sacramento, Calif. 1,700 miles away from my home in Austin. Last night while taking a walk in the neighborhood where we are staying we came upon a street decorated from house to house with flags, from sidewalk to sidewalk crossing the street. Almost every house had an American themed decoration or flags on the windows, lawn, doors, etc.
What a beautiful sight, all those flags framed by well preserved homes and the greenery from the trees. I'm sure it is going to be one grand 4Th. of July celebration.
