"Sands of Time"- Work in progress-

Ready to be quilted

Close up of quilting

Quilting is done and it is ready for binding

This entry is a continuation of a previous entry (scroll down)
I'm almost finished with this piece. I mounted the quilt on the machine and I managed to quilt it today. I still have to bind it, sign it(I embroider my initials on the right hand bottom corner) and then mount it on the ready to hang canvas. I will be delivering this to the CST gallery probably by the end of the week along with another piece that I quilted yesterday. Quilting these pieces (24"x24") takes a long time and it is kind of tedious so to make it more pleasant I listen to my Ipod. The problem is that I quilt A Lot so I'm kind of getting sick of my music. Someone suggested that I listen to audio books. I have tried but they put me to sleep and that is something you don't want to do when operating machinery. I rather read books than listen to them, and I mean at a different time, not when I'm quilting. :) Time to buy some new songs.
As soon as the 2 pieces I'm working on are totally finished I will post photos on "One quilt at a time" blog spot

Beautiful, Martha! I guess I'll have to drive out to Round Top again to see this one hanging!
